It’s London National Park City Week from 21-29 July (2018), designed to help Londoners explore our amazing outdoors, and to help make the city greener this summer. This event is not only for London itself but also surrounding boroughs including Croydon.
The Friends of Wandle Park have organised a free community event for all to enjoy this Sunday 22nd July with acoustic music and children’s activities. Never been to the park before? Then why not join in with the #GoParksLondon Challenge
Visit Wandle Park with its river, pond, community garden, children’s play area, skate park and cafe and post a photo using #GoParksLondon for a chance to win a prize! To get started visit www.GoParks.London
For more information about all the events happening all week all over London and surrounding areas check out the London National Park City Week website.
It’s back for a second year! Another chance to turn up, tune in and enjoy. This year we have the added interest of the launch of the Peace Festival and the performance of the Peace Anthem by the London Mozart Players in the bandstand from 3pm.
Event times are 1200-1930. There will be a bar run by Hoodoos, food and stalls and excellent live music in the bandstand. Just keep your fingers crossed for good weather.
Don’t be square, see you there!!

Croydon Environmental Fair 2018 – Saturday 9th June, 11am – 5pm – Wandle Park
This has appeared in the events brochure available in the cafe scheduled for the 27th May. The decision to cancel is because the local military academy students will be doing a river clean up as part of London Rivers Week on the 25th June instead. By leaving it a month it means that there will be more time for litter to build up and give them plenty to collect. Please accept the volunteer and learning officer’s apologies for any disappointment caused.
The rescheduled date for the Keep Britain Tidy Spring Clean is Sunday 25th March.
Join us between 10am and 4pm by the Waddon New Road footbridge over the railway.
