Annual wreath making in Wandle Park Saturday 15th December 12pm – 3pm

UPDATE:-  The Waddon Police Safer Neighbourhood Team has announced that, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances Father Christmas and his Grotto will NOT be making an appearance today. However, the community police will be around during our event in the cafe so please come and say hello.

It’s that time of year again- the annual free wreath making event led by the Friends of Wandle Park volunteers!

Join us on Saturday 15th December anytime between 12pm to 3pm under the covered area next to the cafe and make your own seasonal wreath using a wide variety of foliage such as willow, ivy and conifers. Decorate it using colourful berries, seed heads and herbs such as rosemary.

Add the final touch with some ribbon, cinnamon sticks and dried orange segments!  Or bring along anything you wish to add!

Children are welcome as well to have a go at wreath making or they can make their own garland decoration or natural ornament. Please note that children under 16  must be supervised by a parent or carer.

This event is being organised by The Friends of Wandle Park and supported by Hobbycraft (https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/croydon) and Mum’s the Chef at Wandle Park (http://www.mumsthechef.com)

The cafe will be open so that you can buy refreshments including mince pies and non alcoholic mulled wine.

The wreath making activity is free although donations will be welcome to support the activities of the Friends throughout the rest of the year.

There will also be an opportunity to join the Friends as a Member for just £1  and receive a discount card giving you 20% discount on food and drink in the cafe until 31.8 2019
